If you have a PSU that lacks SATA connectors, chances are it is either so old its capacitors have seriously degraded, or it is a generic PSU-shaped object that is entirely unfit for purpose. In either case, at best a system using it will be unstable, most likely attached parts risk being damaged, and at worst it will die violently in a manner that will start a fire.
