~750euro gaming system

Hello everybody

As the title suggests, I'm looking for a new budget gaming system.

Approximate Purchase Date: September 2014 (sorry for this, really eager for information)

Budget Range: ~€750/£610 Before rebates and shipping

System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming, watching movies, listening to music...

Are you buying a monitor: Maybe

Parts to Upgrade: Mobo, CPU, GPU, RAM sticks, Case

Parts not to be upgraded: Power supply: I have a Spire BlackEagle 550W http://
HDD: I have a Western Digital Green 1tB HDD.

Do you need to buy OS: No

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: http:// ANy website will do, as long as it offers cheap shipping to Belgium / if there is a store located in Belgium

Location: Belgium, Vlaams-Brabant

Parts Preferences:
GPU: preferably nvidia (unless you can convince me to buy an AMD, I don't know much about this)
CPU: intel
Overclocking: Maybe (not necessary

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe (I might want it in the future)

Your Monitor Resolution: 1680x1050, i'm looking to upgrade to a fullHD screen (will do this on my own, no help needed)

Additional Comments: The pc isn't supposed to be quiet, but it shouldn't be too noisy either.
I want to be able to play modern games at the highest settings (for really demanding games, high settings is fine too)

Software/games used: WorldofTanks, Rome total war II, Ableton live 9, that kind of stuff.

Why am I upgrading? GeForce 9600GT. Says enough, I suppose? My rig is pretty old and cheap.
I can barely play modern games (always lowest settings)

I have been researching, and I found this:
Mobo; ASUS Z87-C http://
CPU: Intel i5-4440 http://
GPU: Asus Geforce GTX760 2GB http://
RAM sticks: Crucial 4gb (2 of these) http:// (sorry couldn't find information about this particular one in English)
Case: Sharkoon VS3-s http://

I'm a newbie regarding building PC's, so if you see any flaws or things that could be improved, please tell me.
Also, if you know a better build for under ~€750, that'd be great.
Remember I'm going to buy components in late august/september, so maybe there's better hardware available by then? If you have any information on this, please do mention it.

*updated price range form 600 to 750 euro

  1. You can get an Asus Z97 -c now

    550W is good if XFX

Put it into PartPicker to check compatability eg does graphics card fit case

    OS?

Google 'gtx760 review' to find how the pc will perform

Thanks a lot, are you sure this is the best build I can get for this price? It'd be nice if i could get something better for roughly the same price.
  3. I admit I kind of randomly chose a mobo. I don't know anything about those, only that is has to be compatible and it has to be the right socket etc...
So, does anyone know something more about mobo's? (wich one to pick)

Thanks alot, going to consider this.
  6. Okay, so I updated the price range from €600 to €750.
    What about this?

    Mobo: GIGABYTE GA-H87-D3H (ATX) -Mobo-
RAM: 2x 8gb Crucial Ballistix sport -RAM-
GPU: Asus geforce GTX770 OC'ed -GPU-
CPU: Intel i5-4440 3.1 GHz -CPU-
    PSU: Coolermaster G650M -PSU-
    Case: Zalman Z5 plus -Case-
(I decided to buy a case as well)

Does this look good, and futureproof? (at least 6 years)
  7. It should last 3 years at least. 6 years - who know? Nothing seems to last 6 years.
