Help, I'm new to PC building and I have been trying to choose parts for a budget PC. I'm trying my best not to go over 700 USD. And BTW, I did not include a graphics card because I seldom play games.

Power Supply: Corsair VS650
Motherboard: Asus H81M-E
CPU: Intel Core i7-4770k

Would you pl describe your usage. It does not make sense that you have chosen 4770k but with H81 series mobo. k series processors are factory unlocked hence they can be overclocked.

Yo'll need a graphics card to be able to use the monitor. You just use integrated graphics (into the cpu) or a discrete graphics card

For AMD use an eg A10 7850k or with intel, any of the cpu with hd4600 graphics eg i7 4790

I'll be spending most of my time editing videos and stuff for school. I also spent my free time playing games like BF3. I want to play games at pretty high settings. Does that make sense for me to buy an i7 or should I go with an i5?

For video editing, I would recommend i7 4770k. I will post that build shortly
