PC won't boot, fans won't spin

I built a PC in October or November and up until now I've had no problems.

When I tried to turn on the PC this morning, the fans spun for 1 second, then the whole thing shut down and kept restarting until I unplugged it. I got it to boot once after trying one stick of RAM at a time, but after turning it off to try with both sticks again it won't start up at all. I can hear the harddrive spinning and the graphic card fan spins too, but the case fans do nothing and it's not booting either.

I've made sure every cable is properly connected, but I don't have any spare parts to try and find what the problem is and I'm not really sure where to start either. I'm using an i5 4670k (no overclock), an Asrock z87 Extreme3, Sapphire R9 280X, a Corsair TX750 and Windows 7.

Edit: After clearing the CMOS, the PC boots now, still with one stick of RAM. I tried that earlier and it didn't work, so it's confusing to see it work now. I would still welcome ideas for the cause behind all this, in case it happens again.

Solution
Need to know if one stick boots every time now. And if so will it boot either of the two sticks separately. if not you have found a bad stick. If it boots both separately then try to determine if you may have a bad RAM slot. Once you have that sorted out then if the issue persists it could be either PSU or motherboard, most likely.

Yes, I just edited my post since it seems to be working again with one stick, though only after clearing the CMOS. I guess I'll try buying a new stick and hope this doesn't happen again.
