I don't know much about ram, need some advice/help.

I currently have 8 gig (2x4) of g skill ripjaws 2133.
http://m.jd.com/product/426406.html?resourceType=&resourceValue=

I wanted to add another 16 g ram, but I can't get 16 g ripjawsX 2133. BUT I could get the tridentX 2133 16 g set.
http://m.jd.com/product/965891.html?resourceType=&resourceValue=

Is that a bad idea? Will it run worse then just getting another 8 g of the Same ram?

Any thoughts, ideas and/or help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance!!!

Not recommended, It almost for sure will work with no speed decrease, but probably will cause errors, random shutdowns, etc. If you want to add RAM make sure that you add EXACTLY the same model (including size, speed and CL).

Is there any particular reason you need 24GB of RAM? If not, can you find a 8GB Ripjaws 2133? That would be more advisable.

Having more RAM than you need won't do you any good. It is much better to have a reliable 8GB kit than 24GB of unstable RAM.

Thanks everyone for the great advice. I wasn't really sure as some people told me its fine while others said it wasn't. I was hoping to have more than 16g on my system but I might just stick with that unless I can sell what I have now and get the trident 16g paired.
