Problem after installing ram memmory

Hello guys,i got a bit strange problem...thing is i had 2 gb ram soo i wanted to install like 2 more soo i did it hoping that my pc and game performance will get better but...opposit happend my fps in game droped from like 60-100 to 30 and lower in some cases....i didn't reinstal my systyem and im using windows 32bit and other thing is it says 4gb (only 3 usable)

Hi,

If the memory are not the same you could be running into trouble.

Especially if you have lower speed ram : most likely it will lower the faster one to the slower one. You have to be sure that the speed, voltage and timing are the same for better efficiency.

If you would of detailed us your computer, the old and the new memory we could pin point the problem

Processor:Intel Pentium E2180 Dual CPU @2.00 ghz
Graph card:NVIDIA Gforce GTS 450 1024 mb (core 50mhz) (sharders 101mhz) (memory 135mhz)
Memory: DDR2 4x slots channel # dual,dc mode symmetric,Dram frequency 334.3 mhz
Main board:Model P5B Asus computer inc,chipset intel,version pc expres
I didn't remove old ram just added new ram into third slot 2gb of it....fourth spot is empty
