I have a 450w psu and my ups power's off within 1 minute when electric supply is off.
More Details:The Power Cable i use for my monitor is my previous 300 watts psu's power cable and also one thing when i remove all the cables from my ups,the ups holds for more than 5 mins

The battery (or batteries) inside the UPS unit may no longer be able to hold a full charge and will therefore need replacing. Just like a car battery, they don't last indefinitely as the chemicals inside them over time will begin to crystallize, reducing the battery's capacity.
