Hi community,
I have a fairly decent gaming PC (as you can see in my comment below), but i have a crappy old keyboard which I would like to replace. I want a gaming keyboard that is good for games and is also easy to type on. I only have £50 saved up at the moment so if I want to get a more expensive keyboard I will have to wait till christmas. Anyway, these are 4 keyboards that i have seen so far:

http://www.scan.co.uk/products/corsair-vengeance-k70-black-cherry-mx-brown-individual-key-backlit-mechanical-gaming-keyboard

http://www.scan.co.uk/products/corsair-raptor-k30-rubber-dome-backlit-gaming-keyboard

Which one of these has the best price/performance? I would be happy to take suggestions of any other good keyboard that have a better price/performance, but to be honest i really like the corsair keyboards.

The vengence K70 will be best fir gaming and it looks amazing. It is what I use in my build.

Well that will perform pretty good but the K70 is a step up and will perform much better in intense gaming and regular day processes.

Yeah, I would really love to have that keyboard (K70) but because of my financial situation I can only afford a Raptor K30. So I think I will go with that.

Actually . . . on second thoughts I am going to wait till christmas and save up for the Black Cherry MX Brown Switch K70 Mechanical Keyboard, because it looks awesome and seems really good. Thanks everyone for the help.

The K70 doesn't really perform better in intense gaming. The only difference between the K70 and K60 are the backlighting features, full size wrist-rest, full mechanical keys (k60 has some rubber dome on the fewer used keys), and different switch options. Those, in no way, offer better performance.

@OP: If you want a cheaper option to a Corsair keyboard, Cooler Master makes some pretty good keyboards for the price. The Cooler Master Storm Ultimate should be what you might want to look at. It offers full LED backlighting with 3 different switch types. You can choose between MX Blues w/ Blue backlighting, MX Reds w/ Red backlighting, or MX Browns w/ White backlighting. It's competitively priced (cheaper than K70) although you do lose a few features from the K70 (volume wheel, wrist-rest).

The full mechanical keys is a n actual difference. I don't know why you would say that the is "no" difference between the two. Also, Cooler Master is know for their cooling equipment, not their keyboards

I never said there is no difference, but it doesn't really offer better performance. The K60 was designed only to use rubber domes on the less popular keys (F1-12 keys and the keys above the arrow keys). These keys are barely used in games (unless you play a MMO in which you can use the F keys to activate skills) but besides that, the K70 doesn't really "perform much better in intense gaming."

Also, if you are unaware, Cooler Master is a huge PC company that makes a variety of products, not only cooling. They do make good fans and coolers, but they also make good cases and decent keyboards/mice. While their keyboards are not the best, they are very good for the price. The main attraction point is the price because you can usually find them cheap and they are still good quality keyboards. I myself am using a Cooler Master keyboard and it's very sturdy and well buiult.

The Cooler Master Storm Ultimate - does seem to be good for gaming but doesnt look that great - thats why I want the K70 as it has led lights, wrist rest and is made out of sleek aluminum. So cool! But thanks for the help.

The Cooler Master Ultimate has lights as well, but yeah the K70 is still a great keyboard. Just trying to put out some cheaper alternatives.
Another alternative would be the Logitech G710+. It's similarly priced right now, has white backlighting, wrist rest, and macro keys if you want those. It sometimes goes on sale to $110 whereas I haven't seen the K70 Browns go on sale at all because the K70 Browns are extremely hard to find (always out of stock).

Maybe you should get the one with Red switches as it will feel better in gaming. And it has Red backlighting(my favorite color)

I looked at the red ones but they seem not too good for typing - so i want to go with the brown for good typing and gameplay. But thanks.
