Is windows 8.1 differend from 8 and which games will I be able to play ?

Hi, I have orderd the new windows 8.1 and I am wondering is it differend from 8 because I have read that, for exaple Assassin's creed 3 runs on 8 but not on 8.1, but I am planning to play games like : Assassin's creed 4, Might and Magic x legacy, Battlefield 3 and other that run on windows 8, but not sure on 8.1. So is there a difference between 8 and 8.1 and will it affect the way I'm playing.

Nah, it some drivers will differentiate 8.1 and 8.0, but software should work on either. The games you listed are fairly modern games, so they certainly will work.

The only difference I'm aware of is the Direct X version, which is 11.2 instead of 11.1, not a big deal, in fact it's only improvements...

Pretty much all games from the last few years should work flawlessly anyway, so you really don't have to worry.

Just a question: You mean updated to 8.1? Because it's a free upgrade for win8 owners... Ordered sound likes you're buying...

Windows 8.1 is the equivalent of a service pack for Windows 8. It comes with a few major updates, and requires new video card drivers. I'm not aware of any new compatibility issues that weren't already present in Windows 8
