Hello,

I am in the market for a new PC gaming headset. I play mostly MMO/RPG but I was not sure if I should still get headphones with surround sound as I sometimes play FPS (but not hardcore). Budget under $100. Few models I have looked at are Turtle Beach PX22, Logitech G430, Razer Kraken, Corsair Vengeance 1500/2000, & Steelseries Siberia V2. Any comments/suggestions would be extremely helpful. Thanks!

I personally wouldn't bother with Turtle Beach or Razer. I have personally used the Logitech G930's and they were alright. I have demo'd the G430's and they were pretty good as well. They don't seem to be nearly as buggy as the G930's since they aren't wireless. I have heard good things about the Corsair headsets, but have never used them. Same thing goes for the Steelseries.

If it were me, I would narrow it down to Corsair or Logitech. You would probably be happy with either headset. Both companies have great customer service as well. If you don't mind having the earcups touch your ears, you could also look at the Sennheiser PC330. People seem to be pretty happy with them. I haven't personally used them, but I am using the PC360 and couldn't be happier with a headset.
