Can motherboards support ram that is clocked over its limit?

Solution

Hi. I checked that board and it does not support higher clocks. You will just be burning a lot of money as it wil run at 1600 Mhz. In my opinion, anything over 2133 Mhz is a waste of money anyway. The prices go up dramatically and it realy isn't worth the expense. My Board supports up tp 2800Mhz, but I installed 2133 Mhz. It still ran at the natetive 1600 Mhz until I OC'd it to 2133 Mhz. It is the only way you can get that clock.
