Hi Guys so got a new HDD from a seller, which i trust. It is a Western Digital Caviar Black 2TB 2002FAEX. I read this post:http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/265764-32-guide-ins... because my OS (windows 7) doesnt detect it. It isnt detected in BIOS and a Linux Live Stick didnt detect it either. I tried switching SATA ports, switching SATA cable, it is plugged in and running, i can hear the spinning. My mainboard is a Gigabyte Z77X-D3H. What to do now?

Update you bios so it will see the new HDD or you might have to get an add on card.

Have you tried testing this HDD on another computer to make sure it isn't the HDD that is failing?
