So now my desktop is fixed thanks to me. In the meantime, I may have to find a new laptop :(:( I am look at windows 7 laptops. I know intel hd graphics are integrated,and I want to play all sims 2 games. But since the intel hd graphics are a newer and probably improved graphics, could I still play on high settings with them?

sims 2 only has low requirements if you have T&L (hardware transform & lighting) video card which the intel integrated doesn't. it can still run if you have a 2 Ghz pentium 3 which is still pretty low. If you have a laptop in mind... post the specs or do you want us to find one for you? I'll be happy to do it.
