Hello I have a Formosa Motherboard in a HP h8-1240t PC that I would like to try to install a EVGA GTX 780 SC ACX graphics card but I believe the bios version I currently have AMI 7.09 doesn't support UEFI. Therefore I would like to update to bios version 8. Although HP doesn't have an available download to update the bios to version 8. I have however found flashing utilities on the actual AMI website. Is there a way I could use those to update my bios and what are the risks if any?
