I use integrated Realtek HD audio + Creative SB Audigy 4. Whenever I set the Audigy to 4.0, it gets reseted to 2.0, accordingly to what is set in Realtek HD audio manager. If I set it to 4.0 there, both my soundcards, the Audigy and the integrated gets changed to 4.0.

It's so unbelievably annoying. I found a way where this wasn't happening, but it was almost a year ago and it was some weird workaround so I don't remember. Is here any proper solution?

You shouldn't have the on-board sound adapter (Realtek) and the PCI sound card (SoundBlaster) both active at the same time as this causes a resource and configuration conflict.

If you prefer to use the SoundBlaster (which I assume you do otherwise why buy it) you must disable the on-board sound in BIOS Setup.

Conversely, if you want to use on-board sound (Realtek), remove the SoundBlaster card and re-enable on-board sound in BIOS Setup.
