So I have created a video with Sony Vegas Pro 12, rendered it and I got a 600MB file. I wanted to compress the file to as small as possible. Then I searched for a tool/program to compress large MP4 files, and then there's Handbrake. But instead of compressing it, the file was bigger, it made my 600MB MP4 file to a 1.3GB file. I did check the Web Optimized option. I used Handbrake for another video to compress it worked it was a success, but sadly for this one it failed. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance! :)

The output size is directly related to the settings you are using when transcoding your video file. Change your settings and you'll change the output size. If you don't know what settings to choose, I suggest you do some reading. There are ages of material at your fingertips for free through Google and other web search engines, which will teach you all you need to know in reducing video file sizes.

I've not used Sony's Vegas Pro software before, but I suspect you should be able to output to the same video formats Handbrake supports, directly, rather than using Handbrake to tinker with your file after the fact. If you output from your source to your final format, without the need to transcode more than once, you will have cleaner, more...

bigpinkdragon286 thank you for the answer, I reduced every effects and settings as low as it can be. From 600MB to 238MB, then I just compressed it again with Handbrake.
