just wondering if this would work at all or not i need a new processor i got an i3 right now, mostly for gaming

The AMD CPU will not work on that motherboard. That motherboard is a lga1155 socket board and the AMD CPU is an AM3+ socket CPU. If you want to swap over to AMD you need to get an AM3+ socket motherboard.

your board supports these CPU's : Supports 3rd and 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i7 / i5 / i3 / Xeon® / Pentium® / Celeron® in LGA1155 Package

other option is to save a bit more for a motherboard, to go for a better kit with more upgrade options in the future
or with the current 450$ to buy cpu.gpu.mobo for more upgrade options later.

say what? yes it will be a lot better than what you have now. The fatality board has been built for overclocking and longevity, The CPU is much more powerful than your current but slightly weaker than the one mentioned before and GPU is on par with the GTX 760.

out of the 2 proposed get the GPU, CPU, MB combo.

i was meaning that the 2nd proposed system will not be better vs the 1st proposed, in performance, i didnt compare it with his current cpu.
