After recently installing new nvidia drivers for my Geforce gtx 550 Ti my screen went black and has stayed black. I can hear windows load up, can log into the computer but unable to see anything on my screen.

I have tried uninstalling the drivers, updating the drivers, restoring my computer to a previous date. EVGA suggested disabling quick boot, enabling legacy and all that but nothing has helped.

Mobo: ASUS M5A78L-M LX PLUS AMD 760G

Solution

I am able to us my onboard, PCI is selected as first video device.

Edit: The only way I can even get the graphics card to show under display devices is to have the igfx set as priority. When I set PCI as priority and put the card back in I am greeted with a black screen.
