gtx 660 oem

I hope to buy a gtx 660 oem card..it looks like a gtx 650..but it shows in gpu z as a 660.I am hesitated to buy it because of the appearance.i have seen the nvidia oem card but this is quite simpler card in appearance...plz someone help me to find out whether it is a better card or what....

I would be suspicious too. I'd probably take a pass on it. That doesn't even have a brand name on it. Geforce is the Nvidia trademark. All Nvidia cards are Geforce. I suppose you could ask the seller to show a GPU-Z screenshot of it.

yeap...i saw it too..that is what bothering me..in nvidia drivers sys info it shows 660 oems specs

I would avoid it, it seems there is a few of these fakes around.

that's what i thought too...if gpu z shows it as a gtx 660 oem there is no suspicion then?

check it says GK104 under gpu in gpuz.

Isn't it possible that someone removed the original casing form the card and used a simple fan and a heat sink?

I dont know why they would do that, the stock cooler is actually quite good.

Even with the different cooler, the card pcb looks wrong to me. its missing the VRMs which are in a row near the bracket.

This is what it should look like (except with one 6 pin connector)
