Hi! I was gonna buy a extremely cheap TX650 almost half price than the hx650 to xfire 2 R9 270 but I've been told that this psu does not support xifre should I change it to a gs 600 or rm650 .

You should change to a bigger PSU.

This is Guru3D's generic power supply recommendation for the R7 and R9 series:

AMD R7 260X - On your average system the card requires you to have a 450 Watt power supply unit.
AMD R7 260X Crossfire - On your average system the cards require you to have a 650 Watt power supply unit as minimum.

AMD R9 270 - On your average system the card requires you to have a 500 Watt power supply unit.
AMD R9 270 Crossfire - On your average system the cards require you to have a 700 Watt power supply unit as minimum.

AMD R9 270X - On your average system the card requires you to have a 500 Watt power supply unit.
AMD R9 270X Crossfire - On your average system the cards require you to have a 700 Watt power supply unit as minimum.

AMD R9 280X - On your average system the card requires you to have a 550 Watt power supply unit.
AMD R9 280X Crossfire - On your average system the cards require you to have a 750 Watt power supply unit as minimum.

If you are going to overclock GPU or processor, then we do recommend you purchase something with some more stamina.

The HX series (with the exception of 1000 and 1050 watt models) is the cream of the crop .... has better voltage regulation and lower ripple than the AX series....the TX V2 series was next best thing at a lower price. If you are overclocking, I'd use a 750 as a minimum.

I would get atleast a 650w power supply made by a quality company like XFX, Seasonic, or Corsair. I would buy the hx650 because it's a bit newer and higher quality, and I believe it has better amperage on the 12v rail, which is what really matters when it comes to crossfire.

Thanks but I posted on another thread about the wattage 2 R9 270 will need about 350W+100W+Anything it will need about 500W even OCing a quality 550W can handle it, so I went to 650W just to be sure, amd found the TX650 for a cheap price

TX is made by Seasonic... Wattage is enough the only problem is if I should buy an adapter or go for a whole new unit, the hx is a great PSU no doubt

just off the bat, that PSU only has 2 6+2 pin connectors. most video cards use two each (not super familiar with AMD's low/mid range cards).. so that's why someone might say its not crossfire capable.

however, the 270s only use one 6 pin, and they only pull at load about 150watts each.
so two of them = 300, CPU 100 to 200 depending. either way, your system would only be pulling 500watt at full load most likely. i'd say it's plenty fine

Yep exactly my point... Wait a second..you're right R9 270 only needs 2x6 not 1x6+1x8 as I thought so I should have no problem right?

Wait I don't get the requirements sapphire says
1X75 Watt 6-pin PCI Express power connector is required
So no problem because I have 2 but

Gigabyte says I need 2 6pin conectors
