Hello Guys,

So i have 2 cards i have been trying to decide from. Any help will be great.

GIGABYTE GV-R929WF3-4GD Radeon R9 290
$351.99 after mail in rebate.

or

XFX Double Dissipation R9-290A-EDFD Radeon R9 290
$369.89 after mail in rebate.

I know xfx has a lifetime warranty but i always upgrade cards after 3 years so it doesnt matter much. Also will be buying another one later on as well. Would also like to know if anyone knows which one is more stable with OC.

Thanks ahead for the help. :D

I use the Asus GPU tweak, not the terrible OC GURU_II by Gigabyte, all OC software can be used for any card. The Gigabyte card will not disappoint, surprising quality and defiantly great...

Great brand, great cooler, I own the R9 290X Windforce 3X REV 2.0 cooler, it is a beast of a cooler and temps stay below 74 degrees no OC.

I have OC'd my R9 290X to 1295Mhz stable on the core clock, with temps never going above 92 degrees, a solid effort indeed.

i would go with evga if they made radeon cards. but they dont no more... to me the r9 290 is the best bang for your buck vs gtx 780 and r9 290x. unknownofprob, what software did you use to OC the card. i havent owned a AMD/ATI card since.. the 5000 series.. lol i hear msi afterburner is one of the best tools for amd... not sure though. i used evga for oc nvidia cards..

i also here the asus cards have high vrm temp issues... dont have the card so cant truly say but there are quiet a few comments on it. ill look in to the msi card as well.
