hello, i just installed my kraken x60. pump seems to be running, the led is on, and all is well.

but i simply cannot get the kraken control software to detect the x60

*note: i am not concerned with the issue of the kraken x60 not displaying cpu temps, i have found a supposed solution to this problem*

what i specicfically am concerned with is getting the x60 detected, and/or detected by 'kraken control'

motherboard: 990fx sabertooth r2.0
OS: windows 7 ultimate 64bit

i have tried:

-updating my bios to the latest one (v2501, i even learned how to bios flashback, lol.)
-tried installing on both the usb headers, restarting after the install on both
-transferring the 3pin of the kraken from the cpu_fan to the cpu_opt
-removed all, fans on the x60 splitter, but the two pwm nzxt fans
-tried installing khuler chill control V version 1.2 (still did not detect the x60)
-using the stock 1.1 version of kraken control from the cd that came with it
-using the 1.6 version of kraken control from nzxt website

still no luck.

really need suggestions,
thanks in advance

Yep, I'm having this same problem now also. After their effing 1.3 update of CAM it stopped letting me change fan speeds, the retarted NZXT software both CAM and Kraken Control Center became unresponsive even though they opened, I wasn't able to change the speed profiles on either of them at all except very rare occasions I'd have 1-2 seconds of control but then it'd lock at max speed or 20% speed...

Imagine playing a CPU demanding game like Watch Dogs at 20% fan speed... or running at 100% 24/7. It's annoying and I've been dicking around with NZXT and I'm currently talking to two software engineers about the problem. I've taken my computer apart to make sure everything was plugged in a few days ago, and uninstalled CAM and reinstalled...

I too am in this same situation. I too have attempted all of your same remedies, however I have had no such luck in fixing the issue. I had Kraken Control initially recognizing my x60 when I first finished my build (2 weeks ago). I however was having the "USB Has Lost Connection" error that was plaguing so many. I read around and saw that the 1.6 Update was supposed to fix the bug. I uninstalled the software, I then updated the driver using the DL from their website (v1.6), and it now I am having these issues; it no longer recognizes the x60 - "Can not connect to the device"

I've taken my computer apart to make sure everything was plugged in a few days ago, and uninstalled CAM and reinstalled it and it didn't work. Tonight just an hour ago I took my PC again and double checked every wire and connection and they were all in correctly. I uninstalled both CAM and KCC and deleted the files completely from my harddrive for a fresh install of them - decided to plug in my Kraken X60 USB 2.0 into my NZXT UI100 (internal USB 2.0 extender giving me an additional 3 USB 2.0 hubs and 2 USB 2.0 plug ins for wireless devices)...

Well now after installing the software, then plugging in the Kraken CC, it won't open up because it says it's not connected even though the light is on, and the Kraken is still pumping. This makes me believe I may never buy NZXT again because this Kraken has given me such crap since I purchased it because of it's software. The hardware is spectacular, but the software is crap.
