Objective System Build Inputs please

Hey Folks,

Looking to the community for some inputs here on my next system. Currently I have a modded Alienware M17xR2 (don't ask how I got a AW) with the following specs

Operating System
Windows 7 Professional 64-bit SP1
CPU
Intel Core i7 740QM @ 1.73GHz 68 °C
Clarksfield 45nm Technology
RAM
16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 664MHz (8-8-8-23)
Motherboard
Alienware
Graphics
VL370M (1920x1080@60Hz)
Acer GD235HZ (1920x1080@60Hz)
1535MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670M (Dell) 64 °C
Storage
232GB Samsung SSD 840 Series (SSD) 47 °C
931GB Seagate ST1000LM014-1EJ164 (SATA) 46 °C
931GB Western Digital WD Elements 1042 USB Device (USB (SATA)) 52 °C
Optical Drives
HL-DT-ST DVDRWBD CA30N
Audio
NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM)

So the board is old, as you can see, and CPU, othewise the SSD, 7200RPM HDD, and USB3 are all modern parts, as well as I have Win7Pro I added I can move to a new system. Well I am a bit sad I can't use the 670M (MXM 3.0b) in my next system since no one makes a simple MXM to PCI port connector. So I tried my hand at PCPartPicker and got this;

Then I looked around and foudn this deal
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-Alienware-X51-R2-i7-4770-16GB-2TB-1-5GB-NVIDIA-GTX-660-WiFi-WIN-7-WARRANTY-/121333239153?ssPageName=ADME:B:WNARL:US:1123

So I am tossing this out there to see if someone can do better then I can. Honestly I didn't want to do AW, as I considered them overpriced, but this deal is pretty sweet for a 'upgrade', I get 2TB to migrate to and a warrantied machine, as compared to a self build (I mess up I am SOL).

Caveats:
Because my AW is a metal BRICK I use it 99% of the time as a desktop, wired to KVM, etc. on a surface above it. While I could accept a laptop replacement, from my scouting most would be well above these prices, thus nullifying that option. Either laptop / or desktop is fine, but my main concern is space, so that is why I want to stick to Laptop / SFF thickness.
Note my SPECS first before you respond, I WANT to sick to i7s because I do heavy work, multiple times I have remoted to four systems at one time, etc. So NO I don't want no downgrade to a i5 / FX-8xxx.
Secondly I use a 120HZ screen, "AMD does not support above 60Hz" displays. I am older so I need the detail and clarity the 120Hz screen provides (GD235HZ) to keep form being Bambi/Noob headshot dummy target for all you AM-Pro gamers out there.
Now my ACER screen isn't the best, so also if there was a way to switch without too expensive cost, that be bonus but not required (BENQ or such I am familiar with).
Lastly I am trying to do under $1K of course, and wonder if anyone can beats these prices I came up with.

You all got any other ideas?
