I recently bought a case off of Craigslist, but I found out that one of the screws is stripped. I've tried opening the other side and using pliers on the standoff , and it's almost out, but I've been trying to budge it for the past hour and it won't move. I've tried using a hammer and screw on the standoff, but it won't come out. What should I try? Thank you!

Solution
from the picture it looks like there is room to drill the head off the screw.get a drill and a drill bit slightly smaller than the screw head.have someone hold the other end (with the standoff) with vise grips and drill the center of the screw.after that a light hit with a small chisel should break the head off.if your not comfortable doing this find a friend who is mechanically inclined.its not particularly hard.

I can't do that since there's a little, I'm not sure what you would call it, but in order to take off the standoff I've had to reach in the slot and twist.

Rather a chisel, would a flat head screwdriver suffice?

Hi isa108
is there enough screw sticking out to grab it with a pair of vice grips or locking pliers , you can lock onto it with them

Thank you guys for all your help! After hours of drilling I finally took off the screw!
