Hello guys.. I wanted to know that a reference Nvidia GTX 760 is better or a OC'ed MSI R9 270x gaming edition. Thanks in advance.

Solution
R9 280 is not worth the difference over the R9 280X, the R9 280 can be oc'd to R9 280X performance, but the R9 280X can be OC'd way past that.

The R9 280X is the best choice of GPU for you.

They have a very similar performance, and it depends on the game you're playing if you get more or less frames with one or another, but obviously the gtx is more powerful on most of the games and benchs, but it costs 40 dollars more. If I were you I would go to the gtx because the 40 extra dollars you pay are worth and nvidia cards are generally pretty good cards.

Performance:
The Gtx 760 performs about the same in most games @ 1080p. The R9 270X will do better in games with mantle support that is supposed to come in new games. For BF4 the 270X will do better

Bottom line: Both cards will suit equally well

Features:
The r9 270x does have mantle. This could be useful in upcoming games.
The r9 270x has a much much much better cooler on it for overclocking

END ALL:
Get the 270X if you will overclock
Get the 760 if you are going to play at 1080p without overclocking

Gtx 760 is plain not worth it.. Even if it is 30-40$ still there is a difference! I'm betting you are on a budget, so you should save money where it doesn't matter. (It's like a few frames difference, you may fall short on AA or smth)

Yes, but still it has the same price as the R9 280X. It's just about $20 more. And is R9 280 better than GTX 760 ?

My Budget is $340.

And here are prices of the cards in MY country:

Asus AMD Radeon R9 270X DirectCUII TOP OC - $290

Reference Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 - $325

MSI AMD R9 280 Gaming 3 GB - $334

Sapphire AMD/ATI Radeon R9 280X 3 GB - $370

Sapphire AMD/ATI HD 7870 2GB DDR5 GHz Edition - $300

Sapphire AMD/ATI HD 7950 3 GB - $365

And I can go up to $370 if it is worth.
