So a few months pack I decided it was time to invest into a gaming pc, as I started to get into PC games more and more over the months. After I went through some friends on how I should
go about this.
So for starters, I bought this pre-built PC off of newegg, and planned on upgrading it gracefully over the next few months. So fast forward to today and I'm sitting here with:
Motherboard: BIOSTAR Group A960D +
CPU: AMD FX 6300 Vishera 6 core
GPU: AMD GTX 760 2GB
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB)
PSU: Rosewill Capstone Series 750W
And to top it off Windows 7 Ultimate
Since purchase I have had, the GPU switched out, PSU switched out, and got rid of Windows 8.
But to my real problem... when I first purchased the computer it ran League of Legends fine at High everything (not VERY high just high) without a problem. Then about a month or so later, I ran into some problems. I started getting MAJOR FPS drops every now and then, wasn't every few minutes but maybe a couple times in a night or when there was a lot going on. And I'm talking 60 FPS - 15-25 FPS drops. At first I figured it was just League of Legends.
So I realize I'm in need of a new GPU, and end up purchasing the GTX 760 along with the PSU. After it coming in, installing all necessary drivers, I decided it was time to try out some new games to see if I can enjoy the new parts. After purchasing Battlefield 3, and Bioshock Infinite, I took them for a test run. Everything was fine until about 30 minutes into the session I start getting FPS lag on both games.
Then I go into League of Legends, and I'm getting the same results when it hits about 30 minutes or so. So now I'm stumped, but have narrowed it down to the few last possibilities. Which was either my MOBO is messed up and causing the parts to overheat, if the RAM is maybe not as good as I would've hoped, or lastly (which I doubt this is the reason for the problems) that my AMD 6300 is not working how it should. But I've looked up if the GTX760 would work well with the 6300 for gaming and all resources have said that they work fine together.
What I am mostly looking for here is some suggestions on what might be wrong, if you find out what is wrong, then some recommendations on pieces that could fix the problems would be greatly appreciated.
