For gaming, the Lenovo is WAY cheaper, faster CPU, more GPU power (with the SLi version), but it can have overheating issues, due to having 2 GPUs, and build quality may not be superb.
The dell XPS 15 was not meant for gaming, it's rather an ultrabook with light video/3D editing, and the GT 640M is very old and weak. You know, ultrabooks are expensive, so I don't recommend Dell XPS 15 for gaming.

My own suggestion for a gaming laptop, go for Gigabyte and Cyberpower. They can really have much better specs. Like this one from Cyberpower ( http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/cart/showcart.aspx?url=%2fsystem%2fFangbook_Evo_HX6-100_Gaming_Notebook&ref=add ), for 1180$, you get Intel Core i7 and Nvidia GTX 860M, which is very powerful and power saving thanks to the newest GPU architecture, then you can't find any better gaming laptop at the same price range!
