Hey Everyone,
Im very new to Custom Building :) and have a question:
Can I put 4 R9 295X2's on an ASUS Rampage IV mobo?
If not can I put 2 on and put a R9 290X on? If not what is the best gpu setup, regardless of money for the Rampage IV?
Just wondering :pt1cable:
Cheers!

Solution
You can put up to 4 on any of the Rampage IV series except the Gene. (it only has 3 pcie slots)
Just make sure you have a PSU that can handle it. Also overheating will be a big issue, make sure there is TONS of airflow, even though they are hybrid cooled.

Just making sure this is clear, the R295X2 cards have dual GPU's, so you can use up to TWO physical cards.
The limit on both Crossfire and SLI is 4 GPU cores at one time, so if you have two cards with two cores each, that makes a total of the limit of four cores.
I just wanted to make sure you don't go and waste your money on four cards when you can only use 2. :p

Beyond that, HatefulxxDesign is right, make sure you have enough airflow going through your radiators, unless you decide to use 295X2's with fans rather than water coolers, in which case:
1. Don't, it's a much more ineffective design.
2. If you really must, load up on some serious case fans.

For your case/rads try Corsairs AF120 and SP120 series of fans.

I stand corrected. I have too many tabs open answering stuff apparently.
