Hi, so I decided to get an Radeon R7 250x , but it says that it requires a 6-pin power connector pcie. So Im wondering does it mean that the pin slot needs to be on the motherboard right next to the gpu or are you supposed to connect it straight to the power supply because I don't have a 6-pin connector right next to my pcie slot. My mobo is emachines ET1850. Really appreciate the help ^^

The 6-pin connector is from the power supply, not the motherboard.
If you don't have one, the card should come with a molex to 6-pin PCI-E adapter.

I dont believe the power supply your computer came with will have a PCI-e 6 pin lead you have two choices you could purchase a Molex to 6 pin pci-e adapter which you could probably pick up off ebay for very cheap or you could purchase yourself a new power supply in would be a much better option if you are comfortable fitting yourself but you must make sure the power supply you buy comes with a 6 pin pci lead with it.

Heres one of the adapter leads if you choose that option http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-Pin-Molex-to-6-Pin-PCI-E-po...

I use an Intel Pentium Dual Core E5800@ 3.2GHz and I have 1 DDR3 1333MHz 4gb RAM stick and a 500GB hard drive. Is a 500w PSU enough for it after adding the GPU?
