can the amd fx 8-core fx-8350 cpu can be installed on my crosshair IV extreme?

hello mates I recently wanted to upgrade my pc procesor (cpu) I actually have a phenom II 1100y in a MOBO asus crosshair IV extreme, but the latest requirementes for watchdogs require at least a the amd fx 8-core fx-8350, I did some research and apparently this mobo suppors the AM3+ socket aswell the AM3 socket look http://news.softpedia.com/news/Asus-Crosshair-IV-Extreme-BIOS-Adds-Support-for-AMD-FX-Series-CPUs-225053.shtml and here too! http://hothardware.com/News/Mud-In-The-Water-Asus-Claims-Existing-Boards-AM3-Compatible/ in this last link it mentions my MOBO! but actually I dont know if it is trully possible but, with the help of the experts (you guys :) =) I will for sure know whats the best option procedure or what is possible for my situation! in advance thanks! this is my first post and these are my specs :

CPU: Phenom II X6 1100TGD CPU GFX: Radeon HD 6950 oc: 5%GD GPU RAM: 16GBGD RAM HDD : Seagate ST1500DM003 1.5TB

  1. CPU tier . that wont be a big jump on performance. as for the support here is the official site Asus Crosshair IV Extreme . your cpu/mobo has strong o/c ability and i would stick to that. you will be able to run the game

    make sure you have a solid psu unit, capable cooling and always constantly monitor cpu temps while overclocking!
