How can I put the OS from my current hard drive to a secondary for use in another PC?

I have a PC that games moderately, but has lag spikes often. I want to use the newer one, but I only have one hard drive that has an OS installed, Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. How could I install the OS from my primary HDD, to my secondary? or would I have to give up my current PC's primary HDD?

You would need to install Windows on the new system(with the drive in the new system). You would need to get an OS license for the new machine.
