Hi all. I was hoping the community may be able to help me with a problem I'm having. My PC no longer sleeps automatically. I dont know what's going on??? If I reboot the PC and do nothing, it goes to sleep after 5min (the correct setting). It then automatically wakes up so Windows Media Center can record my TV shows (HRHR Prime + WMC). I then auto run MCEBuddy to clip the commercials and convert files to MP4, and then in the past, if the PC was idle for 5min, it would go to sleep! Everything was working perfectly for over a year.

But the last couple of weeks the PC has been unable to go back to sleep after waking up to record my shows. I go check on it after a few days, and there it sits, turned on.... Where can I begin to trouble shoot?

Ideas?
-is it a process running that I cant find? (I couldnt see anything in the task manager).
-why does the case light keep blinking every couple of seconds (hard drive activity? processor activity? Its not a random blink, consistent slow blink, equal intervals)
-this problem (I THINK, NOT SURE), started after that big Windows 7 update a couple of weeks back. But if it was the update, why is it failing only after WMC recordings?
-I ran powercfg -a in Prompt (admin mode), and it said S1&S2 were NOT, available, but that HYBRID was (I care about S3, not sure if that is the HYBRID mode?).
-its not the network card or USB devices keeping the PC awake, I disabled all the WOL stuff
-however I do have a NAS with mapped network drives, thats where the MCE files are saved, could this be keeping the PC awake?
-so many questions......

Guys, where do I start? Thanks all. Please help me save some electricity!
