Hi everyone!

I'm new to PC building and really want to get it right the first time.
Prepared to spend up to around £2000. But would prefer to be closer to £1000
I'm living in the UK.

I will mainly be using the PC for:

Playing League of Legends, editing videos and streaming.
However I would like to be able to play most games on the market on decent graphics.
I would like a mid-high range build that will last for a decent amount of time.
I don't think I want to overclock but if it is highly recommended I will try.

If anyone could help me with any suggestions at all that would be great.

If you plan to do a lot of editing, then upgrade the CPU to an i7-4770k and the RAM to 16 gb (2x8gb). This build will handle all games at max settings 1080p resolution. If you plan to play across 3 monitors, on a 144hz monitor or at 1440p then there are some (more expensive) upgrades that can be made. Let me know if you have questions about individual parts or anything.

Thanks a lot thats really helpful. You've included windows 8, is it worth learning to use it rather than getting windows 7 which i'm used to?

You can change the layout of windows 8 to look like the "normal" windows 7 home screen that most of us are used to. But it does look pretty snazzy :p
