Power supply beeping every now and then

I have a ultra 850w bronze fully modular power supply. I realize this isn't the best power supply, found out after the fact of purchasing. But every couple of days my power supply beeps in reps of 3 beeps 3 times. Then stops and I don't hear it again for another couple of days.

Wondering what this was, if its bad, what it means.

For components connected I have a 850w, with a 8350 overclocked to 5.1 ghz now, dual gtx 770's in sli, d5 vario pump, 8 fans, two hard drives, two solid state drives, a nzxt fan controller, and 4 8gb ram modules.

After the first couple times of hearing the beeping, I have downclocked my chip to 4.8ghz on 1.42v, running single gtx 770. This was about a month ago, just trying to see if I had to much power consumption and that was why the beeping was happening.

But I have experienced no bsod, shutdowns, sluggish performance, or anything showing that im not getting enough power. That is before and after disconnecting and downclocking components.

Solution
AMI BIOS Beep Codes

Beeps: 3 short

Error Message: Base 64K memory failure

Description: A memory failure has occurred in the first 64K of RAM. A RAM chip is probably defective.

Troubleshooting Action: Re-seat the memory, or replace with known good modules.

If the memory modules are being overclocked then try using the manufacturer's stock timings and clock speed.

Could you tell us what series it's from? The Ultra does have some good psu's, but also quite a bulk in the lower tier end.

These versions are some of the REALLY bad psu's:
X-connect series
X2 (Greater than 700 Watts)
LSP series

These are decent for non-overclocked pc's, so should also be replaced in your 4,8Ghz rig:
Xfinity series
U2 X2 series (Less than 700 Watts)
XVS series

Only these series are some pretty nice psu's:
X3 series
X-Pro series

info found on this tier list:
http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-1804779/power-supply-unit-tier-list.html

If you psu isn't a X3 or a X-Pro, then you should replace it with a 650w psu, which should be atleast Tier two class B on the Tier list i linked.
EDIT: for SLI you should get a good 850w

I Hope this helps :)

The Ultra X4 850W is the only 850 Watt 80 PLUS BRONZE PSU in their model selection.

The Ultra X4 850W only has a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 60 Amps. That is rather weak when compared to a good PSU like the Seasonic M12II BRONZE 850W that has a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 70 Amps.

The beep code is from the motherboard, not the PSU. The meaning of the beep code depends on the brand of the motherboard's BIOS.

That would be the psu i own, sorry probably shouldve mentioned the actual model.

As far as motherboard, its asus pro board. Didnt think it was coming from the motherboard though. Plus all the led lights are good on it, nothings read. According to hwinfo, which i monitor hourly almost, absolutely nothing is amiss. But i will look into that, as i didnt htink the psu had a speaker but thats what was worrying me.

Also, when/if i upgrade my psu, itll be evga 1300w. I'm getting married in july, after that all cashflow is saved and getting me a i7 4930k, asus rampage black, 64gb corsair dominator pro 2333, and either dual titan blacks or titan z depending which is better workstation class wise. Figure with all that id better go big, plus the 1300 is like $200, which is only $50 or so more than anything smaller so might as well just spend it right away and not later if/when i need to. Plus that 10 year warrenty, you just cant beat it.

Thank you, ive looked in mobo and just started google searching which led me to my own post and your answer. haha.

I didnt select best solution which is wierd as its my own thread. But i wouldve selected you.

As for ram, i believe it. But worst part is i just sent 2x4gb sticks in for being bad (bsod and comp wouldnt work). Got them back less than a month ago.
