So here are the specs:
MoBo: Asus B85M-G
Processor: i5 4670k
Ram: Corsair Vengeance 8Gb DDR3
Power supply: Corsair CS550
Hard Drive: Wester Digital 1tb

and info needed please ask.

Anyways, i just finished building my first pc.
I have connected and done everything correct, to my knowledge.
I first built my pc 2 days ago, and the same thing was happening.
I would remove the RAM and it would stay on normally.
The RAM i used before wasnt on the motherboards Qualified Vendors List, so i picked up the corsair vengeance, which is.
So i installed the new RAM today, and the same thing happens, turns on for 5 seconds, then shuts off.

I really need help.
How could i check if its only the motherboard.
In other words, how do i figure out what is causing this?
Thanks in advance for the help.

So when i remove the newly bought RAM, the PC turns on perfectly, and it starts to beep like crazy.
When i install the RAM back, it turns on then turns off after 5 sec.
So what is wrong i have tried 2 different types of RAMs.

This is probably a stupid question, no insult intended. Did you use thermal grease between the CPU and heat sink/fan cooler? I did on my first build and the same thing happened to me. Like I said not insult on your abilities. Sometimes it is that simple.

That's a very offensive question haha just kidding
Its my first build so i understand why you are asking.
Well the fan came with thermal paste under it already.

I never did like the paste that comes with it, but any paste would keep the cpu cool for more than 5 seconds. have you tried booting with one memory stick? Besides the RAM, every component is new not used?
