Gigabyte GTX 750 OC 2GB vs Asus GTX 650 Ti boost 2GB

Solution

I too would get a 750Ti over a 650Ti,the capabilities of those two are so close that the 750's lower power consumption makes it a winner for me.

But this is a 650 Ti Boost,it has a bigger bus(192bit vs the non-boosts 128bit),which takes the Memory bandwidth from 80gb/s to 144gb/s. Thats a large increase and when you consider the 650Ti Boost is stronger than the 750Ti in other areas (Pixel and Texture fill rates),that makes the 650 Ti Boost a clear choice of the two.

The 650 Ti is a good bit stronger than a Non-Ti 750.

Higher memory clocks(1500 vs 1250) on a wider bus(192bit vs 128bit) equals much more memory bandwidth( 144gb/s vs 80gb/s)
The 650 has more Shaders(768 vs 512),twice as many Texture Mapping Units(64 vs 32) and more Render output units(24 vs 16).

The only thing better about the 750 is lower power consumption.

He need a 750 Ti vs 650 Ti BOOST comparison.

In this case,it really comes down to the game on which is stronger.

As for hard numbers, the 650 Ti Boost still has more power(more shaders,TMUs,ROPS,faster memory over a bigger bus) but the 750ti,being new, uses what it has more efficiently. Which is the only reason it contends with the 650Ti Boost.
