Making a Windows 8 Disc

Hi everyone

I bought a second hand laptop recently with its original copy of Windows 8 on it. I updated to 8.1 but firstly I'm not really liking the new interface and secondly I keep getting HDD slowdowns (I'm assuming the operating system has never been reinstalled). So I need to reinstall Windows for a fresh start. However, I have a legal copy of Windows 7 and would like to try that out as I never had any slowdown issues and lots of tests seem to show that it's better for gaming ( I only play games 2 or more years old). I'd like a Windows 8 disc to reinstall this OS just in case 7 doesn't run as well but there's no CD key anywhere on my case and I can't find a legal ISO anywhere online that I don't have to pay for!

I presume that I own or at least have the legal right to use this copy of Windows 8. How can I find an ISO and my CD key?

Thanks for any help!

this thread has info on the iso:http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1800781/windows-iso-file.html

Your cd key should be on the bottom of your laptop on a sticker.

edit: tho if you are installing 7 I doubt you will have the need to go back to 8. :)

Thanks, found it. I'm slightly worried though as I did a similar thing (with a different program) with Windows 7 and it turned out to be a generic key that didn't work to activate the OS. I have to know this will work...
