I have a 2GB GAINWARD GTX770 PHANTOM GPU and a 600W Seasonic PSU (SS-600HM Active PFC F3 (Ball bearing)), I also have an 8pin to PCI-E 8pin(6+2) connector. there doesn't seem to be any valid connections although the 6 pin does seem to fit into the gpu but the problem is the psu's male 8 pin to doesn't connect to the cable's female 8 pin, is it the wrong cable do i need another cable as well or do i need a different PSU?

According to the specs of your PSU it should be fine. Official product details states it has: 2 x 6-Pin, 1 x 6+2-Pin

The 6+2 connector can be used for both 6-pin and 8-pin connectors on GPUs. You just fold the 2-pin part back out of your way.

You are correct, I don't see any 8-pin connectors on that PSU. Ideally, I'd say upgrade to a PSU with 8-pin power connectors, possibly a higher wattage PSU if you're getting a new one. Some companies make Molex-8 pin adapters but they're never recommended.

I take that back, Kekoh is right, as long as you still have that cable you'll be fine.

I don't see what the problem is... His GPU requires a 6pin and 8pin, and his PSU has both.

The PSU has all of the necessary connectors to power the GPU. There should be no problems, just a matter of hooking up the PCIe connectors to the GTX 770.
