I'm going to buy and build my own rig, and I need the following parts:

Motherboard, (last a long time, future proof)
Wireless (long range and quick)

Also, a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter for the SSD.

Thanks!

well... mobo, any of the z87's have more than you need... and they'll all handle 780SLI in the future. There's really not much reason to spend more than the $120/$130 Asus/gigabyte models. They will allow you to OC the 4770k just as far as the expensive boards, b/c the CPU is the limiting factor, not themobo.

most poeple go with the h100i and top mount as exhaust. I prefer one of the beefy 120mm rads, rear mounted as intake... so it's always pulling in fresh air instead of hot case air from my two hot GPU's.

Either way, case comes down to budget. I love my HAF-X, but it's $150. The thermaltake level 10 gt is also pretty trick at $150.

but there's lots of good options at $60 as well

I don't want to exceed $1,800, but if you do it's fine.

Could you please accordingly link me to the most fitting items I need?

HAF-X looks amazing, probably going to go with that.

Also, i'll go with the h1000i.

All that's left is the motherboard and Wi-Fi.

I dislike 8, it's buggy and centered for more mobile and touchscreen users.

I'll upgrade when the time comes.

From tomshardware:
There's talk that Windows 9 would be free to customers, but that's unlikely given that Microsoft has bills to pay and needs that income. If anything, the Redmond company may follow its Windows 8.1 plans and offer customers with Windows 8.1 Update 2 a huge discount, while Windows 7 and Windows 8 customers will have to pay for the full upgrade.
