PC works great when breadboarding, but when i install everything in the case, it shuts off after 5sec.

So as the title reads, i tested my new and first build PC outside the case, breadboarding, everything worked great pc would stay on and function.
But when i installed everything in the case, it shuts off after 2 beeps which is like 5-10 seconds.
Please help i am very desperate and have researched everywhere.
I have done this twice and it is the same resolute.
Yes all the standoffs are installed correctly.

Specs if they help:
Motherboard- Asus B85M-G
Processor-i5 4670k
RAM-Corsair Vengeance 8gb DDR3
PSU-Corsair CS550M
Harddrive-WD 1TB

when you install it in your case DONT install anything but the power supply, motherboard cpu and cooler, ram. does it stay power up?

this means no hard drive or add in cards installed (such as network or video cards).

if it does then power off add one item and turn it on again.


if it doesn't power up without anything extra hooked up then you have a stand off issue. make sure that all of the stand offs look centered on the holes (if one is slightly off it could be touching a nearby trace or solder connection on the back side and of course you cant see them when its installed so the only way to try to see for sure is >>). you could also try removing one stand off at a time till it works ( yes I know its time consuming but you have...
