My SSD is a DVD-ROM in diskpart

I got a new Samsung 840 EVO 500GB. When trying to install it, I went to Disk Management to format it and it is in UDF file format. When trying to format the disk is write protected. I then used diskpart and it shows the volume as a DCD-ROM with only 37MB. I'm at a loss of what to do here.

Am having the same prob?umm its showing UDF .I had such a trouble with secure erase with the ssd unbeileiveable why they must do so!,can,t they come up with an automatic upgrade or a better system too erase disk?jez...........
