My SSD is a DVD-ROM in diskpart

I got a new Samsung 840 EVO 500GB. When trying to install it, I went to Disk Management to format it and it is in UDF file format. When trying to format the disk is write protected. I then used diskpart and it shows the volume as a DCD-ROM with only 37MB. I'm at a loss of what to do here.

  1. What you're seeing is the Samsung CD that comes with the drive. Its impossible for a SSD to be UDF
