Is the Exede modem already connected to the Satellite? If so, you should simply be able to connect the Router to the Modem with a cable going from the modem's internet link to the router's internet port. Then connecting your devices into the wired ports 1-4 on the Westell router to your computers. If you could provide a model number for the Exede modem I could perhaps be a little more specific, but connecting a router to a modem should be pretty standard. Best of luck to ya and look forward to a response - Sub

Thank you, Sir.

And, sorry it took me a while to get back to this. I was on a steep learning curve about the various types of routers that are out there. For one thing, I found out that some are geared for telephone line hookup, some are for cable/digital TV and the one I needed was for a Satellite interface. The Westell router, turns out was specifically for a phone line and Netgear bought the company, however does not offer support that I could find.

Also, there are specific models that work better in different applications. The Wild Blue folks finally came around with a list of options for me. I can't believe how something so simple was made into a virtual nightmare! I found one from the list I had to pry out of them, and then ordered it on Ebay...got it a few days later and all I had to do was plug it in! Glad I am over that hurdle...it was a fun exercise in patience and learning. Now, I need one of those Red Bull's;-)
