Hi,

I am looking forward to build a new pc for gaming.

I have a brand new PowerColor HD7770 GHz Edition Graphics Card

650w PSU - 5 years old

currently i have 4gb ram with the e6800 dual core clocked to 4.1 ghz

I want to spend around £300, on a decent CPU, mother board, ram, HD.

Need a new case but dont need it to look good.

Was trying to get a processor around the Intel Core i5 4670K Quad Core as the main game i play CSGO is cpu intensive.

I am open to suggestions or bundles and just need advise in general

Thanks

Yeah, a good psu upgrade is always a best option. SSD's are nice and they far faster than the HDD, they boot fast perform functions much faster but in gaming they are ok. But they are expensive right now and i see that you are a little low on budget so hold up 5 to 6 months and than see if the prices are down they buy it. There won't be a that big of a difference if you buy a i5-4670K just a tad bit improve in the...

Well i created the system and the things you wanted, just check and tell me if i had miss anything. Also what power supply you have? What is the make and model? Although 650 W is written but it is not enough you need to know if enough amperes on 12V+
rail are available or not. So if you can tell me the make and model of your power supply i can tell you if you can run these components or not.

That looks really good value, I might just buy a new PSU to be safe also.

just got a few more questions

So is there any point in getting a SSHD,

and would i notice any difference if I went up to the Core i5-4670K processor?

Does newegg ship to the UK and would i have to pay any additional tax?

Thanks dude

There won't be a that big of a difference if you buy a i5-4670K just a tad bit improve in the performance, but that is a overclocking processor so if you are looking to overclock than you might be able to achieve peformance improve by 5to 10% as compared to the one i suggested. Generally i was going to recommend 4670K but given the budget i had to select the i5 3470. And i am not sure if they ship or not. Just ask for the components from the shop near you and keep the newegg price to compare if it is expensive or not. Anything you need to ask, fire away.

Okay great i'll probably go for the i5 4670k.

is it overclockable with the motherboard you have selected?

Could you suggest a decent value for money PSU

also I basically have two HD atm one a seagate 7200 rpm - not sata the older type of connection and

one sata hitiachi 7200 rpm, will the one you link be better than theses,

i am away from home atm but will be able to provide with model details when im back

can i just use a stock fan and is their a cheaper suitable case

no that motherboard is not for overclocking you see cause that is a business motherboard and not enthusiastic motherboard. Can you tell me your exact budget? Cause i selected pretty basic things on your budget. The decent power supply would be this one. You can remove the HDD i linked cause you already got a sata HDD with 7200 rpm which is equal to that. The best overclocking motherboard would be this one or this one.

£350 budget, pc picker allows you to select for the united kingdom, in the uk pc parts are a bit more expensive which sucks, im happy to get a basic case that will do the job.

over clocking will be a good thing to have for future proofing.

THanks

Which merchandise are you referring to that ships to UK? kindly state it's name so that i may select items that it ship. I can you a good motherboard in that budget. And you want to use your old hard drive no? And the case i suggested is the pretty basic one although it looks cool but it was the only one that was cheap.

on pc part picker

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/

top right corner select uk and it will take into account shipping to UK

Decided i've probably got way to a head of my self and don't even need the better cpu,

too be honest i only really play CSGO so your first build with a PSU seems to a be a good option

would the AMD fx-8350 being a viable cheap option.

this guy seems to have found cheaper parts? worth checking ?

if you only play CS:GO than i suggest only upgrade your processor. GO is not that cpu intensive, you are only feeling it cause that processor is weak and i think your processor is bottlenecking the graphic card. My advice get a second hand Core 2 Quad and you will be set for another year and can save money for a far decent build. Here is the link http://www.amazon.co.uk/Intel-Q6600-Core2-2-4GHz-Processor/dp/B000LRMR26/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1400321911&sr=8-1&keywords=Core+2+Quad and also what motherboard model you have? If motherboard does not support than you have to upgrade the whole rig.
