I was going to buy the Trident X 2400mhz, BUT

Solution
Yes, not quite as much bandwidth as 2133, but in effect getting through more actions, if you were to OC the 1866 sticks they should run at 2133/10 which is better than 2133/11

hmm... I have cpu (apu?) i7 4770k. I want 2400 mhz because it is faster (I have 2000 budge). Also, I think I will use at least 10gb of ram, so 16 is worth it.
So, is Kingston beast ok?
Should I forget the trident x and buy kingston beast?

Man RAM is a really tough subject. Take a look at this:

http://www.anandtech.com/show/7364/memory-scaling-on-haswell/7

Now, keep in mind that Intel recommends you do not use a RAM that requires over 1.5V due to Ivy Bridge and Haswell's delicate memory controller. There are many enthusiasts that say it doesn't matter. I personally will not use over 1.5V on my Ivy bridge system.

My conclusion from googling numerous articles = it doesn't make that much of a difference. Get a minimum 1600mhz DDR3, 1866 or 2133 the lower CAS the better, depending on how much you want to spend, but DO NOT go over 1.5V. Thats just my personal opinion. Brand is not as important, as long as you buy a reliable brand such as Corsair, G.skill, Crucial, etc. Don't buy a no-name brand and you should be fine.

Alternatively, wait till later this year when DDR4 boards come out ;)

Edit : In every case, if you are using 1600Mhz or better, for gaming performance your money is best spent on more GPU/CPU power. Get a decent minimum 8GB 1600mhz DDR3, and dump that extra 80-100$ into something that matters. i5 "K" series processor and the best GPU you can find will significantly yield better results than "faster" RAM.

So....
I have i7 4770k (my budge is 2000)...
So, 2400mhz is unnecessary?

I have i7 4770k cpu (2000 budge)
So, I should buy the kingston beast (10 dollars cheaper), not g skill trident x?

Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($104.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Corsair Dominator GT 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory ($169.99 @ NCIX US)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($84.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory ($84.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Corsair Dominator Platinum 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory ($174.99 @ NCIX US)
Memory: Corsair Dominator Platinum 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($139.99 @ Amazon)

People equate higher frequency for faster RAM. This is not the case. What makes for faster RAM is the relationship of the frequency with the CAS timings. DDR2/3 ram uses 2x clock speed for reported f. CL is the wait time between when the cpu gives an order and the ram carries it out per clock cycle.
T = 1 / f * CL
T = 1 / 800 * 9 = 11.25 nanoseconds for 1600 CL9
T = 1 / 800 * 7 = 8.75 nanoseconds for 1600 CL7
T = 1 / 933 * 10 = 10.72 nanoseconds for 1866 CL10
T = 1 / 933 * 8 = 8.57 nanoseconds for 1866 CL8
T = 1 / 1066 * 11 = 10.32 nanoseconds for 2133 CL11
T = 1 / 1066 * 9 = 8.44 nanoseconds for 2133 CL9

So, as you can see from the above, there is 1600MHz ram (CL7) that is considerably faster than 2133MHz (CL11), however 2133MHz (CL9) is considerably faster than 1600MHz (CL9). Also notice that the differences in the fastest sets of ram get smaller with higher frequencies, 8.75 - 8.57 - 8.44 etc, so anything after 2133 you pay a lot more for less performance gain over the next frequency down.

These are the links. Not sure if Amazon carries every set, but these are the cheapest prices per kit. If Amazon is not the link then guaranteed you will pay more if they stock it.

At most, everyday gamers, internet users, pretty much most computer users on the planet, will only use 4-6Gb no matter what program they run. Only Specific programs used by 3D design, rendering on a frequent basis etc have any use for 16-64Gb. You can pay for it if you wish too, but unless you are one of those specific ppl, your pc will never use it, so you wasted money.

Ok, I will buy 1866 mhz then, but kingston beast or corsair or other brands?
