Hello guys,

I am Shabab from Bangladesh. I need some help. Mayb this description would be lengthy but I want to KNOW!
For the last 4 years I am using a system of the following configurations on windows 8 32bit--

Motherboard Intel D954GCCR
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 6200 TurboCache

This pc is troubling me. It sometime shuts off and says thermalheating. It does not display smooth video playbacks. i cannot run 1080p in this pc. Browsing becomes slow

Now I am trying to build one. I am wrtiing whatever I have planned please correct or suggest if I am wrong. I am not a hardcore gamer but yeah I would like to play some with my new pc (NO 3D games).

Processor
Intel Core i3-2120, 3.30GHz
or
Intel i3 3220
Motherboard
Gigabyte GA-H61M-S2V-B3
Ram
Transcend – 4GB - DDR3
Internal HDD
1TB
Graphics Card External
Sapphire HD5450 - 2GB, DDR3
or
Sapphire HD6670 - 1GB

Please help guys I just want my new pc not to lag and some good movie experiences and some small home works :)

Thanks

Sounds like the HD6670 would be the best bet for what you want to do. Checking out prices at flipkart, it looks like the i3 4130 is only 900rs more than the i3 3220. I would get the 4130. It's newer, and it's motherboard would have better features for about the same price. The 4130's integrated graphics is more than enough for any HD video playback. It won't be good for games, but the HD6670 is decent for low end gaming.
The HD5450 graphics card lacks power. Even the 6670 won't work very well.

You should use one of the latest cpus' if you afford it. an i3 4xxx will last much further into the future.
But the i3-3220 will be better than the i3 -2220.

If you could get an i5 - 4xxx then you can get integrated graphics (HD4600) that will be better than the HD5450

The i3 3220 would be better and probably more available making it cheaper. Also it is slightly faster in every way and uses newer Intel HD graphics. The only thing I ould change is the HD 6670. For the price it is it does not really make sense to buy. I had one it it performed very poor for it's price. You could spend a bit more pennies( about $10-$20) and get a Radeon HD 7770 or HD 7750 and if you do not plan on playing GPU intensive games you could get something cheaper than the HD 6670 that performs almost the same If your like your PC to boot up quick and load Applications in Windows Fast then an SSD could make a big impact. SSDs are getting cheaper so consider it at least

So guyzz

I am sticking to 3220 but would that motherboard be enough?

And I will not be playing any high end games, the maximum I can play is GTA 4 :/ I have console for gaming.

As per ur suggestions i would buy that 6670 1GB but If my budget crosses I would be taking HD6570 2GB.

What say?

and i have got a casing with 500W PSU. and have will be buying two Antec cooling fans which are available in our country. But if you have anything to suggest ----

You ARE more than welcome :)

Thank YOU

Well GTA IV is a pretty CPU/GPU intensive game and still Taxes Hardware today. Mafia 2 you could run with most GPUs today. Though it is also a bit CPU intensive but nothing an i3 3220 can't handle. I would recommend going with a more powerful GPU. The one you mentioned are in that poor price to performance range, Again I did use a HD 6670 for a bit and I could not even play Borderlands 2 at a decent resolution with it. a Radeon R7 250 or R7 250X for about the same price, maybe a bit more, is much better for gaming especially when you look at the prices. Just what is your Budget?

thanks for your reply.

Suppose I will not play any GPU intensive games as I have consoles for gaming but I want a superb resolution for all my video playbacks. In this case do I need an external GPU? or the one within 3220 is enough?

The i3 3220 does have HD 2500 graphics(iGPU) and excellent H264 encoding/decoding....You can hook your 1080p display to the MB though the DVI or DP or HDMI and the integrated graphics can support up to 2560x1600 i think. This is great for Laptops and small PC's. But if You have the room then put in a Dedicated GPU. This will take some strain off the CPU. Though HD 2500 does not really heat up the CPU to much unless your running a game.

I guess I could have just said: Yes. The Intel integrated HD 2500 graphics can playback in HD. My CPU has HD 4000 and I have only used it for browsing online and viewing Media at 720p or 1080p.. just when My graphics card is not plugged in.
