I am not very experience with building a PC so I wanted you gentlemen's opinions about this. This is a theoretical build I want to do. I don't really have a budget in mind as I will be getting these parts over time. I don't really care about being up to date with hardware and such until I get a better paying job and can afford to do so. (college student) but anyway here is my build, like I said I have no sp[ecific budget.

CPU: AMD FD6300WMHKBOX FX-6300 6-Core Processor Black Edition
$118.49
Graphics card: Gigabyte R9 280X GDDR5-3GB
$298.98
Motherboard: MSI Computer Corp. Motherboard ATX DDR3 800
$79.99
Powersupply: Cooler Master GX - 750W 80 PLUS Bronze Power Supply
$115.00
Memory: ADATA USA Premier Pro 2.5-Inch 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive $74.29 (SSD is for operating system) and a WD Blue 1 TB Desktop hard drive, 7200 rpm , sata 6 gb/s 64 MB cache $59.24
Ram: Mushkin Enhanced Blackline 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 1600MHz
$121.00

That is just the actual computer (that has yet to be built and no parts have been bought) the rest like the case, keyboard, mouse and moniter have been covered. I just wondered what you guys thought of this. Like I said I had no real budget but I am asking what you guys honestly think about this build. Thank you.

Hey Cody,

it looks fine. If I had to make some suggestion is maybe buying a smaller wattage PSU (600 or 650) and putting the extra money (plus a bit more) towards FX-8320. Also not sure what is the motherboard on your list exactly.

Which motherboard is that, exactly?

For a low budget build, I would get a 970 chipset motherboard. But if you can afford it, for sure get a 990FX board.

I would get a better quality PSU, like a Corsair (not CX series), XFX or maybe EVGA. Read the reviews, though, every company might have a few bad products, and even companies that usually have lower quality PSU's can have a few stellar ones.

Bad idea... There's only a noticeable performance difference between the FX-6300 and FX-8320 in games that use 8 cores. That's exactly 2 games in the world right now, and there likely will only be a few more this generation. He should stick with the FX-6300, or go to an i3. Either one works... But not FX-8320, not for the sake of efficiency alone.

Only get the 8320 if you plan on using other programs (that aren't games) that utilize multiple cores.

The motherboard looks fine to me!

Here's another RAM kit to consider:
