I did some research on benchmark's of these cards , and their G3D Mark Score , How come GTX 480 , Which is an older card , beats the GTX 590 , when all the specs are in favor of the GTX 590.
And How come GTX 590 Looses to GTX 660? , and GTX 660 Looses to GTX 480 , How ?
Average G3D Mark GTX 480 : 4347
Average G3D Mark GTX 660 : 4117
Average G3D Mark GTX 590 : 4038
If Say that Kepler is Advanced and Powerful than Fermi , Well , the proof is that GTX 660 beats a top class Fermi Card , The GTX 590 , But How come even an older Fermi card GTX 480 beats both?
Any Experts can explain it?

Solution
The G3D Mark Score and pretty much all those types of scores are pretty useless for the average consumer.

The GTX 480 is basically the same card as the GTX 570. The GTX 590 is two 580's put together on one PCB. The GTX 660 is a different architecture like you mentioned, but is way weaker than a 690 and I think its a little weaker than a 480.

You should use gaming comparison charts as a way to gauge how each gpu fares against another. For a very basic comparison, look at the average fps each card achieves on the same game.

can you share some links please?
a 660 is at par with a 580. and 590>580 and 580>480.
so please provide the links of those that you saw.

clearly a 580 should be better than a 480, otherwise they would not sell, right? and i don't remember such an event (maybe just some temp issues or something). a 590 is dual, short of temp issues it should beat those below it including previous gens

the link i posted to the gpu hierarchy is pretty accurate

actually no, hierarchy yes but it is logical that a 480 is right below the 580 since the 580 is suppose to replace the 480. show some numbers.

and that link confirmed what i mentioned that a 660 is on par with a 580 (more of 660Ti).
and also on that link, the 580 is above, if the 480 beats it then it should be the other way around right? or at the same row maybe

No cards are really quite that comparable. In some things, a GTX 660 is faster than a GTX 580 (seems counter intuitive, I know). In other things, a 580 is faster than a GTX 660. Most of the time a 660 or 580 will each end up being significantly faster than a GTX 480. However, it is somewhat possible that a GTX 480 would be faster in DX9 and DX8 than a GTX 660.

Well said.
Thanks Guys for joining the Discussion!

a 660Ti is on par with a 580, it is not counter intuitive, it is actually a good sign. if a 660 (3rd card from the top, 670 680) can match a previous gen high end, it means the jump is significant right?
what is counter intuitive is if a 480 is faster than a 580, it means that the 580 is a failure for a high end card. it's like saying that an iphone 4 is better/faster than an iphone5

:D I think that too.
But they say GTX 590 is not good on G3D Mark , In Gaming it Kickass.
