I had to do a reinstall of windows 7 which is on a SSD. I had a ton of programs on a HDD. I know that the registry now only has the programs from the new install. My question is if there is any way I can get the computer to recognize all of the programs on my other drive so I don't have to go through and reinstall them all.

Why would you want to keep any of the cluttered up mess from the old registry. Always nice to do a clean install to eliminate a bunch of potential for issues.

Agreed with Dingo, no you can't just use the old registry.

I was hoping that I could just somehow get the computer to recognize all my programs since I don't remember all the ones I had. I'll also have to go in and delete all the old program folders.
