Hi Guys, I have just finished my build, but I have a problem that I have been unable to solve. I am getting no display on power up and cannot figure out why. I have tried the GPU in either PCIe slot and both ports, but alas it has been to no avail and I know the GPU was working from being in my previous machine. I am not even convinced that the CPU or Motherboard is actually powering up correctly. My previous MB gave a nice statisfying “beep” on startup, but this one doesn’t. Though to be fair there is no internal speaker connected that I can see. I have built a couple of systems before, but this one has me a little stumped.
Just for ease I am only booting with the SSD and optical drive as peripheries.

Here is a list of what appears to power up
Optical drive (tray opens and the immediately closes)
SSD (I can hear some activity for first few seconds)
Case fans & power indicator
CPU fan
GPU fans
Case fan controller
And here is what I know is not working
XFX HD 7850 display port (either)
MB DVI display port
Reset button on case
And what I do not know whether they are working or not
MB
CPU
I guess what I am asking is how to work through a process of checking what the underlying problem could be or how to solve…….but I know I am ready to cry
Oh I live in Newark/Lincoln area if anyone is kind and can physically help!
