I'm upgrading my home server to a Xeon E3-1240v3 with an ASROCK C226 WS and am wondering whether the extra cost (an additional £50) is worth paying for ECC RAM. The non would be ~£120 and the ECC £170.
The server's gonna be mostly used as a media and transcoding server with some virtualisation.
Rest of the spec is a GeForce 119, Samsung EVO 240GB (system), 4x2TB + 1x1TB (storage)
